DAV College Abohar was the visionary realisation of the dream and spirited vision of our founder  principal and his successors who were fired with the zeal of promoting the cause of education. Established in 1960 under the guidance and stewardship of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi, the college has trained many young minds to explore and realize their talent and potential with an apposite intellectual and moral matrix. Firmly rooted in Vedic philosophy of Swami Dayanand and philanthropic spirit of Mahatma Hansraj the college prepares the learners to amalgamate modern scientific approach with the profundity of Vedic wisdom. The institution provides an ample opportunity to learn and thrive from the expertise built over more than 50 years. Swami Dayanand Saraswati was called one of the makers of modern India by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. A profound scholar of Vedic lore and Sanskrit, he denounced idolatry and ritualistic worship and advocated the doctrine of karma. He founded Arya Samaj enunciating the ten universal principles as a code for universalism with the motto 'Krinvanto Vishwam Aryam' that means make the world noble. He enshrined the idea that all actions should be performed with the prime objective of benefiting mankind. Mahatma Hans Raj was a great pedagogue who firmly believed that true education keeps company all the life. He had profoundly studied treatises on Vedas and was a seer with farsightedness and idealism. Though at a remote place, the college has a strategic geographic location touching the vicinities of Rajasthan, Haryana and neighbouring country Pakistan.
